White Cove Cottage

From the M5 at Exeter, take exit 31 onto the A30 towards Bodmin and Okehampton. Follow the A30 past Bodmin and head on down to Redruth and Cambourne, at this point you will pick up signs for Hayle and St. Ives. At the roundabout at Hayle take the third exit following signs towards St. Ives and Penzance. You will cross the estuary and then come to another large roundabout with a rectangular shaped island in the middle. On the roundabout make sure you are in the righthand lane so you are able to take the 2nd exit towards St. Ives. You will soon reach a mini roundabout (opposite a garden centre) go straight on. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit (turning right) to St. Ives. Follow this road through Lelant and Carbis Bay for about 3.5miles.

You will go past the Tregenna Castle Estate on your left as you descend into St. Ives. The road will fork as you reach the St. Ives Harbour Hotel on your right. Please turn right to go down the hill (A3074 The Terrace) into St. Ives. As you pass the bus and train station on your right the road begins to narrow follow the road round to the right (Tregenna Place) go straight on at the small cross roads to follow the road round to the right and onto the High Street. Follow the one-way system round to the left and then right down to the Harbour where the road runs around to the left (Wharf Road). Follow the road to the Sloop Inn and then turn left on to Fish Street.

To unpack your car at the front of White Cove: at the end of Fish Street turn right on to Back Road East and take the 2nd left onto Burrow Road follow the road bearing right towards the end (just after Carncrows Road.) Then follow the road around to the left (do not go straight on into Porthgwidden carpark it is for permit holders only). White Cove is the third cottage on the left next to the artist gallery and shop. You can usually park here whilst you unload but you will then need to follow the road on round to the Island car park.

To go straight to the Island car park: at the end of Fish Street turn right on to Back Road East and take the 1st left on to Island Road (it can be a tricky corner so make a wide approach to turn in). This road will take you straight to the Island car park.
